POST 5: My favourite food.

Imagen
Well, well, well! I hope that you all ate well, because today we will talk about one of the most delicious dishes of Italian cuisine, for my taste… In the fantastic and tasty universe of Italian culinary culture, we can find different types of fresh pasta, large pasta, tape paste, short pasta, stuffed pasta and other preparations accompanied by the fundamental pecorino, parmigiano and mozzarella. Nevertheless, Italians also cook with rice and sauces that can even exceed the quality of pasta, lasagna and pizza. Risotto ranks right up there as one of the greatest dishes you can make with rice. Originating in Italy, risotto is a recipe made by simmering a starchy variety of rice in broth, with flavor-boosting ingredients added like onions, garlic, vegetables, meats, spices, herbs, and cheese. There, in my opinion a classic risotto is a rich, creamy dish with nearly a porridge-like consistency, yet each grain of rice retains a distinct bite. But it is important that in Italian risotto, t

POST 4: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Imagen
In today’s blog, I will express with all of you certain proposals of changes to my study programme in Geography, as such it is renewed until today.  In the Faculty of Architecture and Planning of the University of Chile, there are three careers which are Architecture, Design and Geography. This last one, has a very complete program that includes human and physics sciences, but beyond this separation between the two principal lines of this discipline, it considers the development of many and various abilities like working thoroughly on geographical systems information (GIS), critical observation of the landscape with its human and natural components, but also the capacity of creating and identifying in a sensitive way, problematics in the territory and the potential solutions for them. Nevertheless, the program has a big failure that deeply affects the evolutive growth of the practical abilities and parameters of analysis on-site. This vacuum has a relation with the fieldwork or field

POST 3: MOVIES AND/OR SERIES THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND

Imagen
Dear readers, today I will show you my best film recommendation. Although I am not a cinephile, there are some movies that have captivated me and that have given me deep reflections.  Personally, I prefer movies with political content and strongly questioning social messages. In this case, Parasite (2020), an award winning movie directed by Bong Joon Ho, shows us that the word "parasite" has a double meaning. In this sense, the movie puts two opposite family realities in a dramatic frame. It seems that they do not have much in common, but it turns out to be a great contrast between differences in power, class and life of each one of the characters, and what part of society each family represents. The Kims, mother and father Chung-sook and Ki-taek, and their young adult offspring, son Ki-woo and daughter Ki-jung , are a poor family living in a shabby and cramped half basement apartment in a busy lower working class commercial district of Seoul, South Korea. They are out of w

POST 2: BEST HOLIDAYS/CONCERT EVER

Imagen
Hello everyone ! In today’s blog, I will share with you where and when I had my best holidays and why it was a very special trip. Back in january 2019, I was living in France for my exchange year and in my winter vacation, I went with my host family to Sevilla, in Andalusia, a region of southern Spain. We were there for one week, and we stayed in a downtown hotel called Corregidor Boutique Hotel.  H10 Corregidor Boutique Hotel It was super fun for me, because I really enjoy visiting museums, cathedrals and palaces and other forms of architectural and patrimonial tourist attractions. Principaly, this region is marked by the sincretism between Arabian and Andalusian culture. It’s possible to notice this muslim legacy in music and culinary offer but above all, the andalusian arabic architecture is what attracts the most attention, with the very well maintained mosques, temples and palaces. Real Alcázar de Sevilla.  These constructions resulting from the time of invasion, correspond to t

POST 1: A COUNTRY YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

Imagen
Hi there!, In this post I will show you which county I would like to visit and why. In my opinion, all forms of life have a very important cultural heritage and also a particular history and geography that make each country unique and worth visiting. Greece, is the southernmost of the countries of the Balkan Peninsula. Geography has greatly influenced the country’s development. This territory has more than 2,000 islands, of which about 170 are inhabited; some of the easternmost Aegean islands lie just a few miles off the Turkish coast. Conditions that dynamize the geopolitics of the place. About the cultural activities that make this country so attractive for me, it’s relevant to discover the country’s capital; Athens. In this city, the first form of democracy in the world was found. Also, it is possible to visit some archeological sites to learn about a culture dating back thousands of years. In fact, it's harder to avoid ruins than to find them. Moreover, the perfect beauty of
